By train: AREX, then Line 4
- 1
Get a transit card
Buy a T-money card at a convenience store or use a single-use card from the station machines. One card covers AREX and the subway.
- 2
Ride AREX to Seoul Station
The all-stop train takes 59 minutes from Terminal 1 (66 from Terminal 2) and costs ₩4,750 (₩5,350 from T2). The Express takes 43 minutes for ₩13,000, but it's a separate ticket from the subway.
- 3
Change to Line 4
At Seoul Station follow the signs for Line 4 toward Hoehyeon and Myeongdong. Expect a walk between the lines.
- 4
Two stops to Myeongdong
Ride two stops to Myeongdong Station. The station has several exits, so check the one closest to your hotel before you set off.
The transfer at Seoul Station is the hard part with big suitcases. If you have more than one large bag each, the bus or a car is usually less effort.
By limousine bus
- 6001 (₩17,000): Seoul Station, Hoehyeon (Namdaemun Market), Myeongdong Station and Chungmuro.
- 6015 (₩17,000): Mapo, Gongdeok, Myeongdong and Euljiro.
- 6701 (₩18,000): City Hall, Gwanghwamun and Myeongdong, every 25–35 minutes.
- Boarding: Terminal 1, outside exits 3–7 on 1F; Terminal 2, the B1 Transportation Center. Buy tickets at the booth or machine first: Terminal 2 needs a paper ticket, and drivers don't take credit cards on board.
- Luggage: on Airport Limousine routes (6001, 6015) each ticket covers two suitcases up to 28 inches; extra bags are ₩8,000 each.
After midnight, the N6701 night bus runs via Seoul Station and Euljiro to Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and its Euljiro stop is at the north end of Myeongdong:
| Bus | Goes to | Adult fare | Leaves Terminal 1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| N6701 | Seoul Station → Euljiro → Dongdaemun Design Plaza | ₩18,000 | 11:50pm, 12:40am, 1:40am, 3:45am, 4:40am |

These are per-vehicle prices for 2 passengers with 2 suitcases arriving in the daytime. Bigger groups ride in a Hyundai Staria (up to 8) or Solati (up to 13), and pickups between 10pm and 4am include a night surcharge. The price you see before booking already includes all of it.
Where to meet your driver
- 1
Book at least a day ahead
Online booking closes 24 hours before pickup. Add your flight number so your driver can track your landing time.
- 2
Get your driver's details
The day before, your booking page and email show your driver's name, phone number and car number.
- 3
Land and clear arrivals
Go through immigration, baggage claim and customs. Korean Air, Asiana, Delta and a few partners use Terminal 2; most other airlines use Terminal 1 (airlines by terminal).
- 4
Look for your name sign
Walk out into the public arrivals hall on 1F. Your driver is waiting there with your name on a sign. If your flight is late, they keep waiting at no extra cost.
- 5
Can't see them?
Message the driver team from your booking page (we translate for the driver) or call the number you were sent. Don't go with anyone who walks up offering a ride: Incheon Airport itself warns about unlicensed call vans posing as taxis.
- 6
Straight to your door
Your driver helps load the bags and drives you directly to your hotel or address, with no shared stops. Tolls are already in your price.
Going back to the airport
The same options work in reverse: AREX from Seoul Station, the same bus routes, a taxi, or a drop-off van. Drop-offs skip the name-sign greeting, so they often cost a little less. Book one by choosing your hotel as the pickup and the airport as the drop-off on the Myeongdong transfer page.
