Incheon Airport with kids, lots of luggage or a big group

Public transport from Incheon works well for light travelers. It gets hard with two kids, a stroller and four suitcases, or a group of ten. Here's what each option allows, what Korean law says about car seats, and which vehicle fits your group, with live prices.

Kids, strollers and car seats

  • Car seats: Korean law requires children under 6 to ride in a child car seat (Easy Law summary). If you need one, bring your own, or ask us in the chat before booking what we can arrange for your date.
  • Strollers at the airport: Incheon Airport lends strollers free at its information desks for use in the terminal (Terminal 1: in front of arrival hall B; Terminal 2: the 1F information desk).
  • Your own stroller: count a folded stroller as one suitcase when you enter your luggage, so the right size of vehicle comes.
  • Baby lounges: Terminal 1 has baby lounges on 1F near arrival halls B and E.

Public transport with luggage, honestly

  • Limousine bus: bags ride in the hold. On Airport Limousine routes (6001, 6002, 6015) each ticket covers two suitcases up to 28 inches, extra bags are ₩8,000, and children pay a lower fare. Four adult fares come to ₩68,000–₩72,000.
  • AREX train: up to two large items per person. Golf bags in a carry case and strollers are allowed, but you carry everything through gates, transfers and station exits.
  • Taxi: a regular taxi is a mid-size car seating up to 4 passengers. Jumbo taxis (vans with up to 8 seats) have their own stands outside arrivals and charge deluxe fares, which Seoul city puts at 40–50% more than a regular taxi.

Groups of 7 to 13

One vehicle keeps a group together. A Hyundai Staria seats up to 8 with 6 suitcases; a Hyundai Solati seats up to 13 with 12. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and includes tolls, the name-sign greeting and waiting if the flight is late.

Route cards show the daytime price for 2 people. Your group size and luggage pick the vehicle, and the booking form shows the exact price before you pay.

Where to meet your driver

  1. 1

Book at least a day ahead

Online booking closes 24 hours before pickup. Add your flight number so your driver can track your landing time.

  2. 2

    Get your driver's details

The day before, your booking page and email show your driver's name, phone number and car number.

  3. 3

    Land and clear arrivals

Go through immigration, baggage claim and customs. Korean Air, Asiana, Delta and a few partners use Terminal 2; most other airlines use Terminal 1 (airlines by terminal).

  4. 4

    Look for your name sign

Walk out into the public arrivals hall on 1F. Your driver is waiting there with your name on a sign. If your flight is late, they keep waiting at no extra cost.

  5. 5

    Can't see them?

Message the driver team from your booking page (we translate for the driver) or call the number you were sent. Don't go with anyone who walks up offering a ride: Incheon Airport itself warns about unlicensed call vans posing as taxis.

  6. 6

    Straight to your door

Your driver helps load the bags and drives you directly to your hotel or address, with no shared stops. Tolls are already in your price.

Frequently asked questions

Can a family of 5 with luggage fit in one taxi?+

Not in a regular taxi, which seats up to 4 passengers. A jumbo taxi (up to 8 seats, deluxe fare) or a pre-booked van fits five people and their suitcases.

Do children need car seats in Korea?+

Korean law requires children under 6 to ride in a child car seat. Bring your own, or ask us in the chat before booking what we can arrange for your date.

How many suitcases fit in a Carnival, Staria or Solati?+

Up to 4 large suitcases in a Kia Carnival, 6 in a Hyundai Staria and 12 in a Hyundai Solati. A golf bag counts as two suitcases.

Can you carry golf bags?+

Yes. Enter them as golf bags when you book; each counts as two suitcases, and we assign a vehicle with enough space. A group of four golfers with bags usually rides in a Solati.

We're more than 13 people. Can you help?+

Yes. One vehicle takes up to 13, so for larger groups ask us in the chat for a multi-vehicle quote.
